Thank you for visiting the brand-new website for Cambridgeshire Caledonian Pipe Band! We are a pipe band who aims to promote the sound of the highland bagpipes in Cambridgeshire and the whole of East Anglia through playing both publicly and competitively.

We already play at a selection of parades, carnivals and fetes around East Anglia and have made a real impact at local competitions in our first two years of competing.

Please enjoy browsing our website! Our news section is always interesting, being updated regularly with news from the band and from the piping world. Whether you are Scottish or not, we are always welcoming to new members - so if you are a piper or drummer, or someone who wants to learn either then get in touch with us.

About Us

Cambridgeshire Caledonian Pipe Band is a uniformed marching pipe band which practices regularly at Wittering and Benwick. CCPB was formed in early 2009 by a group of pipers who wanted to promote piping and drumming in East Anglia and to improve their own playing.

CCPB has since swelled considerably in size, we now have an excellent drum corps to complement the increasing number of pipers.

News

26/03/12 - The launch of the brand new website! We hope you enjoy the new look and feel of the website, which will be updated often with news, media and events.

9/12/11 - At p.m. CCPB played in the town centre of Whittlesey for the Christmas Tree Festival. Temperatures of -1°C made it difficult to tune the pipes but they held quite well. The drum corps sounded brilliant.

22/04/12 - CCPB played for the Scouts in Peterborough as part of their St George’s Day celebrations. Although rain threatened to fall the weather was fair, helping the pipes and drums  to sound great.
